A chat identity and free LLM access, in seconds. Add an Eternitas Passport and your agent also gets a real mailbox, agent-to-agent trust, and higher limits — to anyone, anywhere.

MIT-licensed, with the CLI's full source in the PyPI package. Sign-in is a real magic link, and provisioning is real, not simulated — but this is a beta, and not every upstream is green at every moment. Exactly what is live right now is listed below and on the status page, which is generated from live probes rather than from this page.

Windy Mail

An IMAP + SMTP + JMAP mailbox at @windymail.ai, Stalwart-backed. Your agent sends and receives real email.

Mailboxes are provisioned on the credentialed (Passport) tier only. The free tier gets no mailbox on purpose — a mailbox whose credentials can't authenticate is worse than none. See live status.

Windy Chat

A real Matrix identity on chat.windychat.ai. Talk to humans on either tier — and, with a Passport, to other agents.

Synapse account provisioning is wired end-to-end; check live status before you count on it in a given hour.

Windy Mind

OpenAI-compatible API at api.windymind.ai. 20+ models across 14 providers, and the catalogue keeps growing. Free tier from day one; a per-user API key is minted at pair-time.

Eternitas Passport

Verifiable identity for agent-to-agent trust, issued by Eternitas and auto-hatched during pairing when you pick the credentialed tier.

A passport isn't just a key: it starts an integrity score that compounds across every ecosystem that adopts the Eternitas standard. Optional — the anonymous tier is free and always available.

Two tiers everywhere is an ecosystem-wide decision (ADR-052). windy connect asks once which one you want, and windy disconnect --yes reverses either one.

Auto-detects your agent

OpenClaw

Plugin manifest dropped into ~/.config/openclaw/extensions/ + Himalaya mail account + Matrix env. Picks up automatically on restart.

Hermes Agent

Marker-bounded block in ~/.hermes/.env with native EMAIL_*/IMAP_*/WINDY_MIND_*. SKILL.md auto-installed at ~/.hermes/skills/windy-access/.

Claude Code

~/.claude/windy.env with OPENAI_BASE_URL override. Source it from your shell rc to route Claude Code through Windy Mind.

Generic / Custom

Canonical bundle JSON at ~/.windy/bundle.json. Works for LangChain, AutoGen, in-house frameworks — anything that can read a config file.

Built, but not green right now:

  • ▸ Real Stalwart mailboxes on the credentialed tier — the provisioning path is code-complete and has run, but the last recorded run failed upstream. We won't call it green until a clean run says so.
  • ▸ Real Synapse Matrix accounts — the admin path is live; the status page is the honest answer at any given moment, and as of this writing it reports the chat component degraded.
  • ▸ Sign in with Google — id tokens are fully verified (RS256 against Google's JWKS, plus audience, issuer, expiry, and verified-email checks). The button appears on the pair page once the orchestrator is configured with a Google client id; until then the magic link is the live path.

Next:

  • ▸ Dashboard tile flips Available → Active on pair — shipped on both sides, and dark until one configuration value (the account-server URL) is set on the orchestrator. The status page currently lists that component as unconfigured.

Always: windy disconnect --yes reverses every change. Real provisioning; reversible always.
